Fengdu Mingshan Mountain Scenic Spot is situated in the north of Mingshan Town, Fengdu County, Chongqing, and is close to bank of the Yangtze River. The scenic spot is filled with ancient trees, bamboos, clear spring and strange stones, birds & blooms, towers and pavilions, and staggered and orderly temples, with plain and elegant features. This planning uses folk customs culture as its core and “ghost” town as its brand to build Mingshan Scenic Spot into key scenic spot and important tourist destination integrated with sightseeing, leisure and entertainment at the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, and build it into leading tourist scenic spot, Three Gorges tourist high-grade product, metropolitan leisure paradise, Chinese tourist high-quality product and global famous tourist brand in Fengdu County. The planning and design are adopted with the structure of “central divergence” to form the layout of key scenic spot spreading outward, which is summarized as “one core, one belt, multi-pivots and seven zones”. The main subzones include Mingshan Ghost Town, ghost country and palace, Shuangguishan Forest Park and ecological paradise etc. The key design contents include Tianzidian Mountain Gate and archway etc single repaired and rebuilt projects as well as Fengdu Palace and Xiandu Temple etc repaired famous temples in the early Qing Dynasty and VIP Hall etc newly-built projects.
